Mr. Rosen is a Chartered Chemist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (London); a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemists and both a Nationally Certified Professional Chemist and Certified Professional Chemical Engineer. He is a member of the U.S. Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) & the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Meyer serves as an Advisor for David Smith, Executive Director of the SCC Advisory Committee. He is also Editor for U.S. & Canada and Editor-in-Chief for North and Latin America for EuroCosmetics Magazine in Germany. Mr. Rosen is Editor of the Delivery System Handbook for Personal Care and Cosmetic Products and Editor-in-Chief of Harry’s Cosmeticology, 9th Edition.

Susan Freers is Technical Manager in the Technical Service Department of Grain Processing Corporation, a manufacturer of grain-based specialty ingredients.  Susan is involved in developing new and novel ingredients and applications for the personal care, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical industries.  

She has written numerous formulations and presentations and provides training and support to customers, as well as internal personnel.  Susan has over 30 years experience in the industry and has worked at Grain Processing Corporation for the last 25 years in positions including Technologist, Applications Scientist, Senior Applications Scientist and currently, Technical Manager.  

Susan has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology/Chemistry from Moorhead State University (now Minnesota State University Moorhead).  She holds several patents and has written a number of papers, posters, and articles and has authored the book chapter “Starch-Based Delivery Systems” for the “Delivery System Handbook For Personal Care and Cosmetic Products” edited by Meyer Rosen.
