He is a member of the U.S. Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) & the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Meyer serves as an Advisor for David Smith, Executive Director of the SCC Advisory Committee. He is also Editor for U.S. & Canada and Editor-in-Chief for North and Latin America for EuroCosmetics Magazine in Germany. Mr. Rosen is Editor of the Delivery System Handbook for Personal Care and Cosmetic Products and Editor-in-Chief of Harry’s Cosmeticology, 9th Edition.

Dr. Qi Jia

Dr. Qi Jia received his B.S. in Medicinal Chemistry from School of Pharmaceutical Science, Beijing Medical University in 1985 and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Texas Christian University in 1995.  Dr. Jia studied Traditional Chinese Medicine & taught Natural Product Chemistry in the School of Pharmaceutical Science, Beijing Medical University from 1985-1991. His doctorate research at TCU focused on the discovery of drug leads for the treatment of HIV infection and solid tumors from Bolivian medicinal herbs. 

Since joining Unigen in 1995, Dr. Jia has established collaborations with six organizations around the world; collected thousands of indigenous medicinal plants and  guided efforts to build up a proprietary natural product library with over 300,000 samples. 

As Chief Science Officer at Unigen, Dr. Jia leads the commercialization of skin whitening, anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic natural ingredients for leading brands of global skin care and health care products. Dr. Jia holds 55 issued international patents and has co-authored 85 peer-reviewed publications and presentations at professional conferences and in the field of natural product chemistry.
